The POC Cortex Flow helmet is a full face bike helmet designed to withstand the rigours of downhill mountain biking whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety for your noggin. It is the baby brother of the Cortex DH helmet, and though it features the same general design, it uses a Fiberglass shell compared to Carbon Fiber. The extra airflow is added in by the lack of Aramid underlayer, but the Cortex Flow helmet still features the same multi impact layer technology.
With a slightly larger amount of room within the chinguard to aid breathing, the Cortex helmet won't give you that claustrophobic feeling whilst keeping your teeth and chin firmly in place during every OTB experience.
Another nice touch is the addition of a chin buckle instead of the traditional 'double-d' retention designs that seem to be standard fair on other brands of helmets. Super EPP Core

POC's Super EPP Core, a multi-impact layering foam designed to allow multiple impacts without compromising the integrity of the helmet. This is much different than traditional helmet foams that can only take a limited number of impacts before compromising their integrity. The temptation to choose a cheaper, lesser helmet is moot when understanding that the POC helmet range can withstand many more impacts than traditional helmets from other brands, whilst also providing greater safety.
