Hard Shell Toughness
Sometimes the track will call for the best protection possible; hefty rock gardens, exposed tree roots, over-zealous spectators. These are the days where you'll need the hard-shell armour as oppose to the soft-shell stuff. Although there are a lot of brands offering elbow guards on the market, none of them can claim to have the fit and finish of the POC Bone guards. By dividing the guard into three segments; upper arm, elbow and lower arm, the Bone is able to provide unmatched flexibility whilst protecting all vital joints. Each of the 3 segments utilise a rugged polypropylene shell on each component to resist abrasion and direct impacts. Underneath you will find the EPP foam liner that not only contours your elbows, but also absorbs shock to slow the intensity of the impact and prevent bruising. This "dual-shell" design maximises flexibility and the guards versatility to protect you from a wide range of impacts. Other neat features include the vented hard outer shell that keeps you cool on the hotter days in summer, and the adjustable velcro straps that allow for an articulated fit. Continuing the fit theme, the elbow pads slip on via a lycra sleeve that helps ensure everything stays in place comfortably whilst you're moving around. A flex plate between the upper and lower shells allows for free elbow movement whilst on the bike so you don't feel restricted.
