SRAM XX Trigger Shifter Set 10 Speed
The pinnacle of drivetrain technology; SRAM XX shifters redefine the limits of weight, shifting accuracy and adjustability. Part of the incredible new 10 speed groupset, the XX triggers get all sorts of CNC machined alloy, lightweight Carbon Fiber and composite material wizardry to whittle off almost 50 grams over the already impressive X0 shifters. The 2x10 drivetrain system is built upon a wide range 11-36t cassette that allows for a double chainring setup instead of the traditional triple crankset, so you end up with more usable gears. This allows you to remain in a single chainring for longer, by shifting through the entire range of gears on the rear cassette so that you can minimise front derailleur use. While you end up with a similar high and low gear compared to a 3x9 drivetrain, the 2x10 system features closer ratios for faster shifting that helps you maintain a smoother cadence through gear changes, and is noticeably slicker than the 9 speed equivalent. Combine the XX trigger shifters with the XX derailleur and the SRAM X-Glide shifting technology (cassette and crankset) and you have yourself the fastest shifting drivetrain possible, that also happens to be the lightest on the market too. No compromise. 

Taking the 1:1 cable pull ratio and Impulse Shift technology that made SRAM trigger shifters so popular, the XX model has gone one step further with the 10 speed Exact Actuation feature. Borrowed from the road groupsets, Exact Actuation is based upon the 1:1 ratio that pulls 1mm of cable at the rear derailleur for every 1mm pulled at the shifter, allowing for easy fine-tuning and resistance to contaminated gear cables. It also provides a much more linear feel to the shift levers through the entire 10 speed range, so that clicking into the 9th gear feels just as positive as shifting into 1st gear. In combination with the new tight-range 10 speed cassettes, the rear shifting is astonishingly fast and precise. As for the front shifting, the newly designed XX chainrings use X-Glide shifting technology that you can read more about under the SRAM XX Crankset listing. Needless to say, the 2-speed XX trigger shifter works like a handmade Swiss watch in conjunction with the X-Glide shift rings. The XX shifters are constructed with light weight carbon-fiber levers, and can be mated with an XX-specific Matchmaker clamp, the Matchmaker X. The levers are stiff, light and strong coming in at an amazing 183 grams per pair. Providing unsurpassed shifting performance the XX triggers are still ergonomically pleasing with the ability to set the lever exactly where you want it. SRAM XX Trigger shifters are designed to work with SRAM 2x10 exact actuation systems only. The shifter hardware is made from 7075-T6 aluminium, stainless steel, and uses Torx T25 bolts for clamping mechanisms as with the entire XX group.
