Maxxis HighRoller DH 2.35" Super Tacky
Combining soft tacky rubber with a super predictable drift-ability, there is nothing on the market quite like the Maxis High Roller tire. Over the years, Maxxis tires have been developing quality rubber in a huge range of tread patterns to suit riders all over the world in all sorts of conditions. The High Roller tyre is a stalwart in the Maxxis bike tire lineup, providing DH and trail riders with incredible rail-like grip for loose conditions, while an ability to easily lock up the wheel for drifting around washed out corners. Rounding out the Maxxis downhill mountain bike range, the Maxxis high rollers are available in 2.35" and 2.5" widths as well as folding Kevlar models and heavy-duty 2-ply casings, depending on your local tracks and riding preference. The HR tyre gets ramped knobs along the centre tread for reduced rolling resistance and bi-directional characteristics; rotating with the ramp for fast rolling and strong braking bite, or reverse for tenacious climbing grip with less braking traction.
26 x 2.35" Super Tacky
Compared to its big 2.5" cousins, the 2.35" High Roller is lighter and quicker overall. This makes it ideal as a rear tyre for smoother-to-intermediate DH trails that don't require the bigger casing, or on the front and rear for 5-7" All Mountain bikes. The thicker 2-ply casing gives outstanding stability under low pressures and resist pinch flatting far better than single ply tyres. The "Super-tacky" 42a durometer rubber has a slower rebound built in. It's not quite as "gooey" as the Slow Reezay rubber, though it lasts longer, has lower rolling resistance and doesn't get cut up as much as the softer rubber. If you're a DH racer and you know the next race course you're heading to features a smoother and more pedally track, whack on a pair of 2.35" High Rollers (or just on the back) for faster acceleration and lower rolling resistance compared to the wider 2.5" models. A Minion tyre up front is a great combo for all-conditions and allows the strengths of both tyre treads to be utilised when pushing hard on technical terrain.
From Maxxis:
"Our most popular and versatile mountain bike tire, the High Roller's ramped leading edges roll fast while the side lugs offer stability at speed and a sharp edge to hold corners. The grooved center knobs provide straight-line control. The High Roller's tread design translates well to all mountain bike disciplines, including downhill, cross country, and freeride".

Choose Maxxis Tyres for quality rubber on your mountain bike
26 x 2.5" Super Tacky
This particular model uses the "Super-tacky" 42a durometer rubber. The High Roller tire requires maximum grip and thus employs a softer rubber that also has a slower rebound built in. This allows the tyre to maintain maximum traction with the trail surface and avoids the "bouncing" tendancy that you can get with cheaper quality tyres. As the name suggests, the High Roller is a fast tyre that has a lower rolling resistance compared to the Minion. This is due to the ramped centre knobs that give quick acceleration, while the sturdy side knobs give rail-like cornering grip.

26 x 2.5" Slow Reezay
This particular model uses a super-soft 40a durometer rubber, which Maxxis calls: "Slow-Reezay". With the slowest rebound rubber available, these tyres conform over the terrain like butter. This allows the tyre to maintain maximum traction with the trail surface and avoids the "bouncing" tendancy that you can get with cheaper quality tyres. The levels of grip you get with this tyre will leave you in disbelief at the end of the trail at how hard you can corner and how fast you can ride.
