Everyone is mad for a low centre of gravity on a DH bike, though it isn't the easiest characteristic to achieve. Take a quick look at a Pivot Phoenix DH bike and you'll see that Pivot have gone a long way to concentrate as much of the main pivot and shock weight as low in the frame as possible, whilst also employing a super low 13.6" BB height. These 2 techniques allow for a low centre of gravity and an "in the bike" sensation for the pilot, as oppose to feeling like you're sitting "on top of the bike".
