The 2012 Deity Components range has brought both style and function to the mountain bike world with a selection of handlebars, stems and pedals that not only look the ducks nuts, but are meticulously made with flawless finishing. Extensive R&D combined with real world testing means that each component works out on the trail just as well as it does in the test lab. With a focus on performance, Deity handlebars feature a comfy, yet functional sweep and are built from premium materials with intensive machining to achieve the best balance of strength and weight.

The Deity Black Label bars were born out of a desire to create the ideal cockpit for fast-paced gravity sleds that would stand up to the rigours of DH racing. Weight is becoming more and more important for DH racers, especially as World Championships can be one by hundredths of a second. Under 300 grams and at 31 inches wide, the Deity Black Labels are all about adding control to your cockpit as well as increasing the leverage you have on the bars when you're out of the saddle and cranking the bike side to side. With a low 15mm rise, the Black Labels achieve an ideal position for your hands that flat bars just can't match. If your current bars have 20mm or more rise to them, going to a set of Black Labels will increase your front wheel responsiveness as well as improving tyre weight distribution and thus traction. All important stuff when you're chasing valuable seconds on the race run!
