Deity Components Fantom Direct Mount Stem

The Fantom DM stem from Deity Components is a great example of when clever engineering, simplistic design and quality materials are combined to produce a component of the highest quality that not only looks fantastic, but is functional too. Featuring a nifty bolt design that allows you to setup the stem with a 48mm or 55mm length, the Fantom DM stem gives you adjustability without having to buy another stem. Other dual-position stems on the market use a fully machined slot for the crown mounting bolts, which means the whole stem will inevitably shift during an impact. With dedicated mounting bolt slots, the Deity stem will stay put in your chosen position, even in the biggest crash. Choosing 7075 T6 aluminum instead of 6061, Deity claim that although they could have made the Fantom cheaper, they wouldn't have been able to get it down to the sub 160gm weight without severely compromising strength. Aside from being about 3 times as expensive, the 7075 T6 alloy is much stronger and much stiffer, providing riders with more responsiveness from their handlebars and a lower overall weight.
