The pins are easily replaceable if you knock one off during a crash, though the low overall 17mm stack height means you reduce your chance of pedal strikes compared to taller flat pedals. Combined with the concave design of the pedal body, you will be hard-pressed to find a stickier and more stable option than the Decoys. While there are axle rebuild kits available, Deity have ensured the heat treated Cro-moly spindle is as strong as possible to withstand regular abuse from DH riding. For the privateer racer, the pedals are easily serviceable and can be stripped down for cleaning and re-greasing while still mounted onto the bike.
