Bontrager SpeedTrap Digital Speed Sensor Designed to work with the Bontrager Node series bicycles computers, the SpeedTrap sensor plugs into a compatible Bontrager fork leg to provide the rider with functions such as current, average and maximum speed, ride time and an odometer. It's a neat system that shows Trek and Bontragers attention to detail when it comes to the little things and you'll find yourself realising how messy everyone elses cable tie setups are. If you don't own a SpeedTrap compatible fork, you'll need to get the Digital Speed Sensor that is designed to mount to any fork on the market. ANT+ Wireless Communication For the more serious weekend warrior, techno geeks or competitive cyclists, the Bontrager Node series will appeal with their digital Ant+ wireless Com system that is more reliable and accurate than the standard anologue wireless computers on the market. A big advantage of digital wireless computers is that they're not affected from electrical interference like tram lines, electricity wires or even a high-powered night light on your handlebar, so they stay reliable and accurate regardless of the conditions. The other advantage of this communication system is that it is compatible with any other Ant+ device, such as PowerTap hubs and Quarq cranks, so your Node computer is able to link up to these devices to provide you with power output on the readout. Just simply hold the 2 side buttons on the monitor and it will seek out the signal from that device to link them up. Nice!
