SRAM X0 Front Derailleur Although much of the 2012 buzz has been around the 2x10 system, SRAM are providing plenty of gearing options for riders with a range of 2x10 and 3x10 components to suit any terrain. And while double cranksets are definitely in vogue at the moment, no one can deny that a triple chainring drivetrain is more versatile for a wider range of trails. For many riders, the gearing just isn't low enough on a 2x10 setup, and for long, steep and technical climbs you really need the low range of a 22t or 24t chainring. The X0 triple front derailleur is designed to suit 3-ring cranksets for riders that value a broader gear range, though thanks to the XX lineup, it still benefits from the X-Glide shifting technology, resulting in possibly the fastest shifting 3-speed front derailleur on the market. While not the sexiest part of the X0 Groupset (that would have to be the badass X0 Carbon Crankset!) the front derailleur plays an important role that can make or break a ride. The brand new X0 derailleur features precise sculpting and machining to produce a light but stiff little unit that is capable of punching out fast shifts with that typical SRAM feel. The X0 front derailleur comes in a variety of different sizes and styles to suit almost any mountain bike frame available. - High Mount (Bottom Swing): 31.8mm & 34.9mm seat tube diameters - Low Mount (Top Swing): 31.8mm & 34.9mm seat tube diameters - High Direct Mount - Low Direct Mount; otherwise known as E-Type or S3 in SRAMs terminology From SRAM: "SRAM X0 brings the right gear to your most heated trail battles—any terrain and every time.
