The Saint shifters from Shimano continue to highlight many of the features that have made Shimano Rapidfire shifters so popular amongst mountain bikers due to their functionality and lont term durability. Though heavily drawing from the XT model, the Saints get their own DH-specific ergonomics to meet the demands of high-paced gravity riding, with shorter stroke shift levers providing a snappier response with less lever throw. This means you can spend more time in a death-grip without need to mess up your hand position just to change gears. Like the XT's, the Saint utilises Shimano's "2-Way Release" mechanism that allows riders to pull the release trigger with their index finger, or push it with their thumb.
