Application
Before using the Degreaser, run your bikes chain through a rag to remove & loosen as much dirt and grease as possible, while doing the same to the derailleurs jockey wheels, cassette sprockets and chainrings. Give the can a shake and apply the pressurised spray to the drivetrain components to coat them and blast off dirt. You may find it useful to hold the nozzle directly over the chain as you spin the cranks to degrease the entire length of the chain once or twice. As the degreaser is water soluble, you should spray down the drivetrain with low-pressure water to remove any residue solution left on the surface. Use a rag to dry off any excess water then leave the bike to dry off completely before re-applying chain lubricant to your degreased chain.

My Mountain Cleaning Tips
To minimise total cleaning time, we recommend degreasing your drivetrain while also cleaning the rest of your bike with Muc-Off Bicycle Cleaner. After you have sprayed on the bicycle cleaner and are waiting the 10 minutes for it to penetrate, get onto the drivetrain with the Degreaser. Once you've removed the worst of the greasy dirt, you can wash the whole bike with water to remove any residual bicycle cleaner, degreaser and dirt that are still on the frame & components. If you're the type of rider that regularly wipes down your chain and lubricates it sparingly, using this Degreaser on your drivetrain should be sufficient to keeping everything clean. However, if you're the type of rider that lubricates their chain like it's going out of fashion and end up with black gunk all over your gears, you will require the more hardcore solvent used in the Chain Cleaner solution to break down and remove this heavier filth.
