Despite the "DH" moniker, the Gigapipe BB from Truvativ works with all ISIS cranksets whether you're fitting it to a cross country bike, Dirt Jumper or commuter bike - anyone looking for a durable cartridge BB will want to check this one out. Although new standards have come and gone over the years, many riders out there are rocking quality ISIS cranks and bottom brackets on their mountain bike, appreciating the simplicity that an internal cartridge BB offers. You shouldn't be forced into buying a whole new drivetrain just because you can't get spare parts, and it's why we try to offer a range of components for servicing your mountain bike, even if it's not necessarily dressed with the "latest and greatest".

Designed to fit any crank with the standard ISIS spline, the Truvativ Giga Pipe Team DH bottom bracket features a heat-treated cromoly spindle with M12 threads, that provides a stiff interface between the frame and your cranks. Truvativ pack the GigaPipe BB with 4 precision full-complement sealed cartridge bearings for superior strength and long life, and although this 4x bearing system is heavier, it provides far improved durability as well as increased stiffness. The last thing on your bike you want to worry about is a gravelly feeling BB and the GigaPipe goes a long way to keeping you from experiencing worn out bearings. Keeping the quality theme going, CNC machining is used for the ISIS Drive interface & alloy cups, making for clean installation and zero play. If you're looking to save grams on your weight weenie bike, there are lighter options available. But if you want smooth rolling cranks that will stay that way for a long time, apply within.

Choosing the right size BB
There are a multitude of size options for the GigaPipe BB, and the one you require will vary depending on your frames bottom bracket shell, front derailleur setup and rear hub spacing. The first number refers to the total width of the axle of the bottom bracket. The wider the axle, the further the cranks are spaced out from the frame. The second number refers to the width of the BB shell on the frame. The standard widths on a threaded BB shell are 68mm, 73mm and 83mm. And the letter "E" refers to the use of an E-Type mounted front derailleur or BB-mounted chainguide - which will affect which BB you need to use.

113 x 68/68E/73: Designed to fit standard bottom bracket shells that are either 68mm or 73mm in width. If you are running an E-Type front derailleur (uses a plate that mounts to the BB shell instead of a traditional clamp-on derailleur) then this BB will be fine with 68mm BB shells. This BB will work with 135mm rear hub spacing.
118 x 68/68E/73: Same dimensions as above but pushes the crankset further away from the frame for improved clearance between the chainstays and the crankarms.
118 x 73E: When using a BB-mounted chainguide or E-Type front derailleur with a 73mm BB shell, this is the size you require. Designed to work with 135mm rear hub spacing.
128 x 68/68E/73: If your rear hub is a wider 150mm size that is found on DH bikes, this is the BB width you will require. It fits standard 68mm and 73mm wide BB shells, so if you have a wider 83mm BB shell you will need to go to the next size up.
128 x 83/83E: Used on bigger DH bikes, this BB fits a wider 83mm BB shell. This size will work if you are using a bottom bracket mounted chainguide or an ISCG-mounted guide. The 128mm width is designed to work with 150mm rear hub spacing (every frame that uses an 83mm BB shell has 150mm rear hub spacing)
