Schwalbe 26" Downhill Tube The AV13 D inner tube is made specifcally for downhill and freeride bikes that require maximum durability from punctures and pinch flats. A consistent thickness throughout the entire tube wall and a higher-grade rubber compound allow Schwalbe to maintain the highest quality for the gravity lovers out there. Like all Schwalbe tubes, you will notice the huge range of tyre sizes that they will fit, which is due to their high quality - no other brand's tubes can withstand such a broad range of tyre widths. "A Tube is not just a Tube" Airtightness Apart from the quality of the ingredients, the purity of the rubber mixture is crucial to the quality of the tube. The base material is therefore sieved at enormous pressure through seven filters before being extruded. All tubes are inserted into a mould and inflated for vulcanization to ensure constant wall thickness and high air pressure retention.
Reliability All tubes are inflated and stored for 24 hours in order to test for air pressure retention. Afterwards each, individual tube undergoes a careful visual inspection.
